Two of my biggest passions in life are travel and food. The show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown epitomized both and pulled at my heartstrings in the most beautiful ways. Tony, as his friends would call him, was born and raised in NYC. His love for food was kindled at a young age after slurping his first oyster on a trip to France.
Thank you for sharing that with us, Dan. Here in Europe, Tony is also admired and followed by many on this side of the ocean. Just this week, I (again) saw his visit to Dublin on 24Kitchen, one of my favorite (national) networks. Always enjoyable and never a problem to see an episode for the 2nd or 3rd time. It made me look forward to re-starting our monthly cook club on 1 November.
I have had the distinct pleasure of traveling besides you; thanks for all ways sharing your “secret places” with me on those journeys! Hope to get back to it sooner than later!
Anthony will be missed for a long time. One of few people on television that I can recall that was universally liked and was mourned when passed. Nicely done Danny. 👌🏻
