Just Keep Going
There have been many times in my life when I wanted to just give up.
How many times have you started a project and quit? Maybe you got bored and lost interest. Perhaps you hit a roadblock and couldn’t find your way around.
What if you were on the verge of major breakthrough?
There are no lessons to be learned by giving up. Today, I would much rather fail than give up. Failure builds muscle memory and teaches us valuable lessons.
In order to move forward, you have to change your mindset. The first thing you should do is sit yourself down and identify why you are giving up. Facing this truth will be uncomfortable and there will be resistance. The key is to challenge your limiting beliefs and remove the mental obstacles that are holding you back.
Once you identify your obstacle(s), break down the path forward into smaller bits. Building small habits to achieve your goal will have a compound effect and can lead to real change.
Here are some things to consider:
Change doesn’t happen overnight, be patient
Celebrate every win, no matter how small
You’re not alone, we all feel this way at times
You will grow through change
The next time you feel like what you are doing is going nowhere and you’re ready to give up, remember why you decided to get started in the first place and how you would feel if you accomplished your goal.
